Your team clocks in and out the same way students check in — no separate time-tracking software.
Click the Students / TimeClock toggle next to your email in the top-right corner (Manager-only) to flip the whole dashboard over to staff clock-in/out — its own tabs for who's clocked in, history, your staff roster, shift approvals, and monthly reports.
From TimeClock mode, click Open TimeClock Kiosk to open the same kiosk students use, switched to staff clock-in/out. Setting up a separate front-desk device just for this? Sign in there and answer Which kiosk is this? once — that device remembers the choice from then on. Kiosk clock-ins go straight into the record, no approval needed.
From the Roster tab, each staff member can be granted two separate things, independently: Remote Clock-In gives them their own My Time page to clock in/out from their phone or laptop, or submit a shift they forgot to clock. Dashboard Access is broader — it gives them a full login to the Student Dashboard and kiosk, and also lists them under Admin > Accounts. Grant either, both, or neither per person — share the password directly with them either way; it's shown once and never emailed.
A shift clocked in remotely, or backfilled after the fact from My Time, waits in Shift Approvals until a Manager approves it — it won't show up in logs or the pay-period report until then. Kiosk check-in/out skips this step entirely, since it's already witnessed at the front desk.
The Monthly Report tab totals approved hours per staff member for any pay period. Set your center's actual pay cycle — monthly, semi-monthly, biweekly, weekly, or a custom start day — from Admin, and the report's periods follow it automatically.
No — the toggle is Manager-only, same as everything else under Admin. Staff-role accounts never see it.
Only remote clock-ins and backfilled shifts submitted from My Time. Anything clocked at the kiosk is approved automatically, since it's already happening in person at your front desk.
They (or a Manager, on their behalf) can submit a backfilled shift from My Time with the actual times worked — it goes through the same Shift Approvals review as any other remote shift.
Yes — dashboard roles (Staff vs. Manager) control what someone can see and do in the dashboard. Remote Clock-In and Dashboard Access are both separate permissions granted per staff member from the Roster tab, on top of whatever role they already have — not new account types.
TimeClock is already on for your center — just flip the toggle.
